Emotional divorce, as a type of silent break in marital relations, is a complex and harmful phenomenon that, despite the apparent continuity of cohabitation, causes coldness of relationships, indifference, psychological isolation of couples, and harm to children and society. The aim of this research was to examine the psychological consequences of emotional divorce and provide solutions for dealing with it within the framework of family jurisprudence. This study was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and utilizing library resources. The findings and review of previous research showed that the negative effects of emotional divorce on couples, children, and society are very significant. On the other hand, although the term "emotional divorce" has not been used in the field of family jurisprudence, Islamic jurisprudence has a high capacity for regulating couples' emotional relationships and preventing problems. In the following, citing jurisprudential sources, solutions such as promoting family ethics, forgiveness, premarital education, and paying attention to the mutual rights of couples are presented to prevent emotional divorce. The results of this study show that integrating psychological teachings and Islamic jurisprudence capacities can effectively play a role in reducing the negative consequences of emotional divorce and improving the quality of marital relationships.
